MINI BUS PARATRANSIT SERVICE
Passengers with physical limitations who will be unable to use City Link fixed route services are
encouraged to contact the FIT office for an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Paratransit
application. A doctor signed ADA certificate will enable passengers to utilize the Mini Bus service,
which will continue to be a scheduled in advance door to door service. Please help us better
serve you by notifying the dispatcher if you have a visual, hearing or special mobility need or if
you just need a steady arm to assist you to and from the bus.  Drivers may also assist with
carrying groceries from the bus to your door.  We ask all passengers to be ready 15 minutes
ahead of their scheduled pick up time, in order for us to transport. Due to scheduling demands,
we are only able to wait 5 minutes for passenger boarding. Mobility disabled persons are
responsible for either a ramp or someone other than the bus driver to get in and out of their
homes, doctor's office, etc. where steps are present. Sorry, the drivers are not allowed to move
wheelchairs up or down steps.

CITY LINK
To better serve you, FIT, in conjunction with The City of Garden City and the Kansas Department of
Transportation, is pleased to announce the expansion of the City Link fixed route public transportation
system effective January 21, 2008 with the addition of a fourth bus which will enable us to run the Orange and
Blue County Routes every hour on the hour instead of every other hour.  Designed with the community in mind,
City Link offers an affordable, reliable and convenient form of public transportation providing citizens of any age
access to the entire city as well  as a number of specified county destinations. Drivers can provide limited
wheelchair lift assistance only to passengers utilizing City Link.  Brochures containing route maps, stop times and
general information that is helpful to passengers are available throughout the community. We encourage
passengers to arrive at the designated bus stops 10 minutes early to ensure you do not miss the bus.
JOB OPENINGS: We have part time bus driver positions open for the new
City Link buses. All will be part time Monday-Friday about 27 hours/week.
